Custom Labels & Paper Packaging FAQ
Practical answers for buyers comparing custom labels, paper boxes, packaging sets, materials, samples, MOQ, artwork, quality control and export-ready packing.
General
TC Pack Co. can help coordinate custom product labels, stickers, paper boxes, sleeves, insert cards, belly bands, paper bags and packaging sets based on customer-approved specifications. We mainly support B2B product packaging projects where label size, material, artwork, quantity and packing details need to be reviewed before production.
We are best suited for product brands, private label companies, ecommerce sellers, importers and packaging buyers preparing labels or paper packaging for retail-ready products. We are a better fit when buyers can provide basic product type, size, quantity, artwork status and packaging requirements for review.
Yes. We can review early-stage projects when the basic requirements are clear enough: product category, size, quantity, material direction, artwork status and target delivery plan.
We commonly support labels and packaging for home care, beauty and personal care, candles and fragrance, pet products, food and beverage, gifts, promotional products, chemical-use products and selected retail product lines. The final material, finish and packing method should be reviewed based on the product, surface and use environment.
Please prepare your product type, label size, shape, quantity, SKU count, artwork status, material or finish preferences and any matching paper packaging needs. If you are not sure about the material or structure, you can still send the basic product details first and we will review the practical options before quoting.
Yes. You can share your product type, container or packaging surface, application method, artwork status and expected use environment. We can help review practical directions such as roll labels or sheet labels, clear film or paper labels, durable materials, box options and packaging add-ons before sampling or quoting.
Labels & Boxes
We can help coordinate custom product labels, roll labels, sheet labels, bottle labels, jar labels, packaging stickers, box seals and selected durable label options based on your product and packaging needs. The final format should be reviewed according to label size, application surface, quantity, artwork and packing method.
Paper packaging options may include paper boxes, sleeves, insert cards, belly bands, paper bags and packaging sets. Many buyers start with labels first, then add matching paper packaging when they need a more complete retail presentation for product launches, gift sets or multiple SKUs.
Yes. Labels can be reviewed for bottles, jars, boxes, bags, containers and product lines with multiple SKUs. We usually check the label position, container shape, surface material, artwork layout, barcode size and whether the label will be applied by hand or during production.
Yes. Multi-SKU projects can be reviewed when buyers provide SKU lists, label sizes, artwork versions, box requirements and packing details. We can help check how labels, boxes, sleeves or insert cards should be organized before sampling, production and export packing.
Labels may be enough if your product already has suitable bottles, jars or outer packaging. A packaging set may be better when you also need paper boxes, sleeves, insert cards, paper bags or retail display consistency. You can send the product details first, and we will review the practical options before quoting.
Yes. Packaging stickers, box seals, sleeves, belly bands and insert cards can be coordinated as part of a packaging project when the sizes, artwork, materials and packing method are confirmed. This is useful for gift sets, ecommerce packaging, retail boxes and product launch kits.
Materials & Finishes
We can help review paper labels, white film labels, clear film labels, kraft-style labels and selected durable label options based on your product and packaging surface. The right material depends on the container type, label size, application method, storage environment, finish and expected handling conditions.
Waterproof or oil-resistant label options can be reviewed for products exposed to moisture, oil, condensation, bathroom use, cleaning environments or frequent handling. Material, adhesive, surface finish and application method should be confirmed before sampling, because different products require different durability levels.
Paper packaging materials may include paperboard, coated paper, kraft paper, corrugated options and selected specialty papers depending on the structure and project requirements. For boxes, sleeves, insert cards or paper bags, we review product weight, packaging structure, finish, printing method and export packing needs before quoting.
Common finish options may include matte or gloss lamination, varnish, foil stamping, embossing, debossing, spot UV and selected textured paper effects. The suitable finish depends on the material, artwork detail, budget, production quantity and whether the finish is used on labels, boxes, sleeves or insert cards.
Adhesive, finish and surface material should be chosen based on where the label will be applied and how the product will be used. Important factors include container surface, curve, moisture, oil exposure, temperature, hand or machine application, storage conditions and whether the label needs to stay removable or permanent.
We can review brand color targets, Pantone references and printed samples before production, but final color results depend on material, printing method, ink, finish and approved samples. For color-sensitive projects, we recommend confirming artwork files, color references and sample approval before mass production.
Samples, MOQ & Lead Time
MOQ for custom labels depends on label size, material, printing method, finish, roll or sheet format, SKU count and artwork readiness. Roll labels usually require different production planning than sheet labels or packaging stickers. Share your product details first, and we can review a practical MOQ range before quoting.
MOQ for paper boxes, sleeves, insert cards and paper bags depends on paper material, box structure, size, printing colors, finishes, quantity and packing method. Simple paper items may have different MOQ requirements from rigid boxes, specialty paper boxes or multi-component packaging sets.
Yes. Samples can usually be reviewed before mass production when the material, size, artwork and structure are confirmed. Sampling helps buyers check label fit, box structure, color direction, finish effect and packing details before placing a larger production order.
Sampling time depends on the product type, material, printing process, finish, dieline, artwork status and whether labels and paper packaging need to be sampled together. Projects with special finishes, multiple SKUs or packaging sets usually require more review time than simple label samples.
Mass production lead time depends on approved samples, final artwork, order quantity, SKU count, material availability, printing finish, packaging structure and export packing requirements. We recommend confirming all production details before scheduling, especially for launch sets or time-sensitive retail projects.
The main factors are material selection, label or box size, printing method, finish, quantity, SKU count, artwork readiness, sample approval and packing requirements. Changes to artwork, structure, color references or material after sampling may affect both MOQ planning and final lead time.
Artwork & Files
We usually prefer editable files such as AI, PDF, EPS or layered design files when available. High-resolution PNG or JPG files may help with reference checks, but they may not be enough for final printing. For labels, boxes, sleeves or insert cards, editable artwork helps us review size, bleed, colors, text and production details more accurately.
A dieline is helpful, especially for paper boxes, sleeves, insert cards, shaped labels or packaging sets. If you do not have a dieline yet, you can still send product size, container size, label position or packaging structure details first. We can review what file or structure information is needed before quoting or sampling.
Before sending label artwork, please check label size, bleed, safe area, barcode or QR code position, small text readability, color references and whether the artwork matches the final container or packaging surface. If the label will be applied to a curved bottle or jar, the label shape and viewing area should also be reviewed.
Barcode, QR code and small text should be prepared at a readable size with enough contrast against the background. We recommend checking barcode placement, quiet zones, font size, line weight and print surface before production. For regulated product information, buyers should confirm the required wording and layout for their target market.
Yes. We can review artwork before sampling to check basic production concerns such as size, bleed, file clarity, color references, barcode position, finish requirements and whether the artwork matches the selected label or packaging structure. Final approval should be confirmed by the buyer before sampling or mass production.
Buyers are responsible for ensuring that all brand logos, trademarks, artwork, product claims, barcode data, ingredient information, warning text and regulated wording are accurate, authorized and suitable for the target market. We can review production feasibility, but we do not verify legal ownership, regulatory approval or product claim compliance.
QC & Export Packing
Before shipment, we can review key details based on approved specifications, including label size, material, print clarity, finish, quantity, SKU separation, box structure, paper packaging condition and packing method. For complex projects, buyers should confirm artwork, samples, colors and packing requirements before mass production.
Label checks may include size, shape, print clarity, color direction, barcode or QR code position, small text readability, finish effect and whether the label matches the approved artwork or sample. For color-sensitive projects, final results should be reviewed through approved samples because materials and finishes can affect the printed color.
For multi-SKU projects, buyers should provide a clear SKU list, artwork version list, quantity breakdown and packing requirements. We can help review how labels, boxes, sleeves, insert cards or paper bags should be separated, marked and packed to reduce confusion during production, shipment and warehouse receiving.
Export packing depends on product type, label format, box structure, quantity and shipping method. Roll labels, sheet labels, paper boxes, sleeves, insert cards and paper bags may require different inner packing and outer carton protection. Packing details should be confirmed before production when products need to arrive clean, organized and retail-ready.
Packing photos or basic pre-shipment checks can be coordinated when requested and agreed before production. These may include carton packing, SKU separation, product appearance, quantity reference and selected detail checks. If buyers require formal third-party inspection, that should be arranged separately before shipment.
Buyers should confirm final artwork, label size, box structure, material, finish, color reference, SKU list, quantity, barcode details, packing method and shipping requirements before production. Changes after sample approval or mass production scheduling may affect quality checks, packing plans, lead time and cost.
Quote / RFQ Process
Please include your product type, label or packaging size, quantity, SKU count, artwork status, material or finish preferences, packing needs and target delivery country if available. For labels, please also share the application surface and whether you need roll labels, sheet labels, bottle labels, jar labels or packaging stickers.
Yes. You can request one combined quote for custom labels, paper boxes, sleeves, insert cards, belly bands, paper bags or packaging sets. A combined RFQ helps us review how the label, box structure, artwork, materials, finishes and export packing should work together before sampling or production.
After receiving your RFQ, we review the project details, check whether key information is missing and confirm practical production directions such as material, format, structure, finish, sampling needs and packing method. If important details are unclear, we may ask follow-up questions before preparing a more accurate quote.
RFQ review time depends on how complete the project details are. Requests with clear size, quantity, artwork status, material direction and packing needs can usually be reviewed faster than projects with missing specifications, multiple SKUs, special finishes or unclear packaging structures.
These details affect material selection, printing method, production setup, finishing, packing plan and final cost. A label with the same artwork may need different pricing if the size, material, roll direction, SKU count, finish or export packing method changes. Clear details help us avoid inaccurate quotes.
Yes. You can send missing artwork, dielines, SKU lists, color references, barcode details or packing requirements later. However, changes to size, material, finish, structure, quantity or artwork may affect the quote, sampling plan, production lead time and packing method.
